Architecture and Supermarkets – Why do we need a project for a supermarket?

The architecture of a supermarket goes far beyond what the eyes of the final consumer see. While the sales areas of stores are gaining more and more attention with regard to the perception and fluidity of space, product display, furniture, communication and merchandising, there is an extremely technical universe happening in parallel in what we call the rear. The supermarket operation has a need for specific infrastructure such as cold rooms, preparations, warehouses and administrative areas that must be thought out in detail at the time of the project. The flow of employees, for example, is paramount in the design of the back office and in the productivity of the team. When the production flow is functional, the end customer receives their product faster and better. For this purpose, we designed with a focus on the best connection between the sectors of the store.
