One of the largest retail fairs in the world, Euroshop, in Germany, gave more strength to sustainability and technology at the physical point. For retailers who didn't follow the event, the column brings the exclusive collaboration of entrepreneurs who went to Euroshop last week and who listed what needs to be on the business radar.
It was also the first time that the Associação Gaúcha de Supermercados (Agas) sent a group to the fair, all from Agas Jovem. There were 25 supermarket owners who are or will soon be in charge of the flags. “The fair brought a lot of trends. Lots of merchandise on display that we can apply”, projects Rafaela Santiago dos Santos, from the Kan chain.
Francisco Brust, training coordinator at Agas, recalls that the Germans show off “look, communication and category distribution”. Roberta Batista, from Codebal, says that the solutions reach different sizes of companies and with autonomous shopping cart applications and a lot of focus on healthiness and rational use of resources.
“It's really cool, we're going to bring innovation, but we've also seen that retail in Rio Grande do Sul is doing very well”, opines Roberta.
From the Supermago chain, Patrícia Machado saw equipment, such as displays without handles on the doors, which are opened by presence sensors, and the horticultural area with the use of hydration that increases the life of products three times. “This avoids waste”, associates Patrícia.
Augusto Rocha, from Pmweb, points out that technologies at the physical point put the employee at the center to improve the customer experience. “In terms of sustainability, the involvement of the German government in reaching 99% of plastics recycling is noteworthy”, he mentions. P>
Gabriel Bachilli and Aglaia Cerri, partners at Evo2B, pointed out sustainable measures and the use of LEDs to generate interaction with customers. “Whether through robotics or elements inside the stores”, quotes Bachilli.
